It introduces five established English translations of French originals and arranges them from a short account of method through the core works and late synthesis. The guiding distinction is between measurable, spatialized clock-time and durée, the indivisible time we live.

• Each page names the translator. Claims are limited to the supplied bibliographic and editorial notes.
• Creative Evolution is included as the English-language flagship even though it has no one-to-one page on the Japanese sister site.
